What is the Kowy Ritual?

Inspired by a family tradition, Kowy (co-ee) was a word created by my grandmother and passed down through my family to describe soft, comforting touch and gentle care.

While many wellness spaces offered massage and bodywork, I found myself searching for a very specific kind of softness. The calming ASMR-like tingling sensations of having your hair played with, fingertips tracing softly along your skin or the deeply comforting feeling of gentle care that so many people remember from childhood.

That offering did not truly exist in the way I envisioned it, so the Kowy Ritual was born from a desire to create a space centred entirely around rest, nervous system support and safe, grounding touch.

These experiences blend therapeutic hair brushing with slow tracing touch, calming sensory care and ASMR-like sensations designed to help the nervous system settle into deep rest.

Sessions may include therapeutic hair brushing, scalp care, slow tracing touch using fingertips, sensory tools and soft facial brushes flowing across the face, scalp, neck, upper chest, arms and hands to encourage calm, stillness and nervous system regulation. Extended offerings may also include grounding back-body touch, while optional kowy add-ons for reflexology incorporate calming sensory care through the feet and lower legs for a deeper and more immersive restorative experience.

These are one-of-a-kind offerings rooted in softness, rest and compassionate care.
